Adamawa State Government has officially taken over a vocational and learning centre constructed and equipped by the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Handing over the centre, the North East Zonal Coordinator of SDGs Arch Idris Bawa said the centre was constructed by the federal government after acquiring a piece of land from the state government.

The centre he stated was being equipped with state of the art facilities to provide tailoring, ICT, carpentry, mechanical and electrical skills to women and youth in Adamawa state.
Arch Bawa while expressing optimism that the centre will be judiciously utilized, directed that it be handed over to the state polytechnic Yola for the training of students.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Mal Bashiru Ahmad assured of proper management and utilization in the interest of the citizens.
Mal Ahmad lauded the SDGs for constructing and deploying such a sophisticated training centre above secondary education, pledging to ensure it is managed under the state polytechnic.
The center which was put for the benefit of youths and women, he noted was in tandem with the empowerment drive of the Fintiri led administration in the state.
The vocational and learning center built in Malkohi, an outskirt of Yola South Local Government Area is being powered by the National grid with a solar and generator installed as alternative.
