Former Governor of Taraba State, Reverend (Dr) Jolly Nyame, says the unwavering dedication and vision of past leaders, who fought for the nation’s sovereignty, paved the way for the progress the country has achieved so far.
Nyame stated this in a message to celebrate Nigeria at 65 issued by his aide on Media and Publicity, Hon. Zeal O. Bitrus.
“Today, October 1st, 2025, we joyfully celebrate 65 glorious years of independence! As we commemorate this remarkable milestone, we honour the courageous pioneers who fought tirelessly for our nation’s sovereignty. Their unwavering dedication and vision have paved the way for the progress we have achieved so far.
“As we reflect on our journey, we acknowledge the significant strides we have made while also recognizing areas that require collective effort for improvement. To mention but a few, Insecurity, Unemployment, poverty, and ultimately hunger. Let us harness our rich cultural diversity, abundant natural resources, and resilient spirit to propel Nigeria toward greater heights. May this celebration ignite a renewed hope of sense of national pride and unity among us”.
