In commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day celebration, Dan Jarma Adamawa Foundation felicitates with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his Deputy Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta.

In a statement made available to Sahel Reporters, the foundation also felicitates with Khalifa Tijjaniya of the Nigeria, Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley and other Members of the 8th Assembly, Secretary to the state Government Barr. Awwal D. Tukur, COS Doctor Edgar Amos and other members of the State Executive Council.

The foundation felicitates with all the 21 Local Government Council Chairmen, Adamawa State Council of Emirs and Chiefs as well as entire Nigerians on this joyous occasion of Nigeria @63.

Alhaji (Dr.) Lamido Abba Tukur, the Galadima of Muri in the Muri Emirate Council, in Taraba State extends his felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across the globe on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the peaceful celebration of Eid-el Fitr.

In his Sallah message, Dr. Tukur congratulated Governor Agbu Kefas, Emir of Muri, HRH Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida, and the entire people of Taraba State for observing the festive season peacefully. 

He emphasized the significance of forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude during the season and urged the Muslim Ummah to uphold the values they learned during the month of Ramadan for the betterment of society.

Dr. Tukur advocates for a change in attitude that will foster societal improvement, urging followers to be more submissive and obedient to their leaders. 

In addition, he cautioned them against apportioning blame on leaders for challenges faced and encouraged them to pray for the leaders to enable them to provide dividends of democracy.

Furthermore, Dr. Tukur, the District Head of Jalingo, called on the people of Taraba State to exercise tolerance and continue to live in peace regardless of their religion, ethnicity, or political inclination for the development of the state.

In conclusion, Dr. Lamido Abba Tukur commended the State Government and Security agencies for ensuring peaceful coexistence across the state, which is a top priority of Governor Agbu Kefas’s Moving Forward Agenda.

Sallah: Gov Kefas Congratulates Muslims, Calls For Religious Tolerance

Taraba state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas congratulated Muslims in the state at the end of Ramadan. 

This is contained in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications on Wednesday. 

The governor, while wishing the Muslim faithful a great Eid-El-Fitr, called for more tolerance among the faiths. 

The governor noted that the lesson of sacrifice and discipline of Ramadan should continue even after the exercise.

He said the nation needs prayers and selfless service by both the leadership and the followership to overcome all the challenges. 

On the need for tolerance, the governor said it was noteworthy that all the two main faiths have been celebrating their religious festivals together.

He said that is a good development given the relationships that exist between them even at family levels.

He stressed that the Taraba state is strengthened by the diversity across tribes and faiths. 

He noted that with unity, the state can do more in the area of development and progress.

According to the governor, his administration will continue to carry everyone along, irrespective of their faith or ethnicity, in the distribution of the dividends of democracy. 

He said the administration is not leaving any stone unturned in the provision of security. 

Additionally, Kefas revealed that he would continue to battle poverty and hunger to make life easy for all the citizens. 

Relatedly, he reiterated his commitment to the payments of gratuities and offsetting all backlogs. 

Furthermore, Governor Agbu Kefas emphasized that the free education policy has come to stay to build the future of the younger generations.

Meanwhile, the governor has paid a Sallah homage to the Emir of Muri in his palace in Jalingo, Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida which is first of its kind in the history of the State.

Eid-el Fitr: ALGON Chairman, Jauro Felicitates Muslims, Praises Gov Kefas

Muslims worldwide are celebrating Eid-el fitr, and the Jalingo local government council has extended its congratulations to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, on his first Ramadan Celebration in office. 

Alhaji Aminu Jauro Hassan, the ALGON Chairman, Taraba State, and Executive Chairman, of Jalingo LGC, released a statement conveying the council’s felicitations on Tuesday. 

The statement commended Dr. Agbu Kefas for his leadership and presence during the holy month, which has inspired hope, unity, and progress within the Muslim community and beyond. 

The statement further commends his commitment to fostering harmony, understanding, and development in Taraba State. 

The council also extends its best wishes to the Muslim Ummah across the state, urging them to reflect on the profound significance of Ramadan as they celebrate the completion of fasting.

Ramadan is a period of devotion, self-reflection, and faith renewal. 

Muslims worldwide strive for spiritual purification, seeking closeness to Allah through fasting, prayer, and acts of charity. 

The statement calls on Muslims to maintain the good conduct they have exhibited during Ramadan and extend it beyond the month. 

The statement also urged Muslims to reaffirm their commitment to peaceful coexistence with people of other faiths and foster mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance among all religious communities.
