BGCC Announces The Death Of Its LGA Coordinator In Taraba

A Coordinator of the Bwacha Gubernatorial Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Karim Lamido LGA of Taraba State, Hon. Abdullahi Kanti is dead.

In a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Jalingo by the Director Media and Publicity, BGCC, Mr. Aaron Artimas said the deceased died in a ghastly accident along Lau Road while driving to Jalingo on Tuesday the 27th of December 2022.

With a deep sense of loss, the Bwacha Gubernatorial Campaign Council BGCC hereby announces the sudden death of its coordinator in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Hon Abdullahi Kanti.

“With a deep sense of loss, the Bwacha Gubernatorial Campaign Council BGCC hereby announces the sudden death of its coordinator in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Hon Abdullahi Kanti,” the statement revealed.

In his reaction to this unfortunate incident, the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in the state, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha CON, described the death of the late Hon. Kanti as a personal loss.

Bwacha recalled personally knowing the deceased when both of them won elections into the Taraba State House of Assembly in 1998.

The APC Gubernatorial Candidate also lamented that his Campaign Council would miss a diligent politician and notable man of peace.

The lawmaker and a gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Taraba state, Senator Bwacha prayed to God to grant him eternal rest.

The statement further disclosed that the corpse of the deceased had already been evacuated and deposited at the FMC mortuary, Jalingo.

It, however, announced that the late Hon. Abdullahi Kanti would be buried on Sunday, December 31, 2022, following Christian rites.

However, the state Chairman of the party, Barrister Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi through a telephone said he received the news of the death of late Hon. Abdullahi Kanti with a shock and console with his immediate family, and the entire APC family not only in Karim Lamido LGA but the entire state.

While describing the death of the deceased as a great loss, El-Sudi also pray to God to grant his family and the party, the fortitude to bear loss.

Our Correspondent gathered that members of the BGCC are expected to be inaugurated today, Wednesday 28/12/2022 by 2 pm in the state capital, Jalingo.

Adamawa State Governor, the Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has condoled with Senator Iya Abbas, Senator representing Adamawa Central at the National Assembly on the passing of his beloved mother Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Nyibango.


The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou described the late matriarch as a pillar of strength and a shining example of motherhood, whose impact will be deeply felt by her family and the community.

Governor Fintiri commiserates with Senator Abbas and his family during this difficult time, praying that Allah grants them the fortitude to bear the loss.


He also prays for the repose of the deceased’s soul. “May she Rest In Peace”.

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE has condole people and the Bauchi State Government over the demise of Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Jalam who died recently as a result of ghasty motor accident.

The Union through its President in the state, Comrade Muhammad Yunusa Garkuwan Dass said the Commissioner died when his service is most needed.

“We are worked closely with him, he was a man of honest, transparent and accountable, he will continue remembered” The NULGE Boss said.

Fintiri Mourns As Remains Of Babayola Mustapha Is Laid To Rest In Yola

The remains of Alhaji Babayola Mustapha, former district head of Girei and Ubandoma Adamawa has been laid to rest on Thursday amidst eulogies from sympathizers.

Alhaji Babayola Mustapha who died after a protracted illness at the age of one hundred and three this Wednesday was buried in Yola leaving behind children, and siblings.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State was among hundreds of mourners who observed the funeral prayer in respect of the deceased at Lamido Adamawa’s palace in Yola.

Other dignitaries at the prayer include the State Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), Barister Tahir Shehu, some Commissioners, party leaders and politicians among others.

Governor Fintiri described the deceased as an accomplished man with positive impact on the state, saying his integrity and indefatigable attention to peaceful society will no doubt be missed sorely.

He prayed to God to grant late Babayola Mustapha eternal rest and Aljannatul Firdausi and the family left behind, the courage to bear this irreparable and monumental loss for Adamawa State.

The deceased was a father to Alhaji Ibrahim Babayola Mustapha, a popular politician in Adamawa State and the twenty twenty three Senatorial Aspirant of PDP for Adamawa Central zone.
