Mama Nadah: Adamawa Has Lost A Great Woman- Gov Fintiri

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has described as shocking and saddening the death of the first woman Commissioner in the then Gongola State Mama Fibi Nancy Nancy who passed on Sunday.


Mama Nadah was “a towering icon of selfless service” who occupied a special place in the hearts of our people as a Woman of many first.


Rarely has one person so epitomized the very best of humanity and leadership through selfless public service,” Governor Fintiri said.
“On behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State, I want to express my sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and political associates of late Mama Fibi Nadah.”


“The death of Mama Nadah who held the traditional title of Bwarato Bachama is a big loss to Adamawa State. She made a lot of positive impact and contributions during her lifetime to the growth and development of Adamawa State. She also made significant impact in Adamawa politics, especially in the Numan federation.


The Rt. Hon Fintiri who recently honored late Mama Nadah extending an invitation to commission a road project in the State capital which was her last public outing said he had “received the sad news… with great sorrow and a deep sense of loss.”


“I have always had a fondness for the magnificent and graceful contributions of Mama Nadah as first Woman Principal, first Woman Commissioner among many other first.”


Fintiri in the statement by his Press Secretary Mr Humwashi Wonosikou also noted her contribution to the founding of the State Television ATV when she served as Commissioner of Information, describing it as a great achievement.


While offering his condolences to the entire Bwatiye Community and particularly to Hama Bachama, Dr Daniel Ismaila Shagah CON, the Governor noted that Adamawa “will forever hold Mama Fibi Nadah in a special place in our individual and collective hearts”, he said.


While describing the deceased as a highly accomplished teacher who contributed immensely to the growth of education in Adamawa, Governor Fintiri added that, Mama Nadah had a big impact in the education sector as she had taught very many prominent personalities.

He equally commended her motherly role in the land. He said she ensured that all her children attend the highest level of education.
The Governor said she will be missed by many especially girls and women whom she changed their lives .


Governor Fintiri wished the family good health and strength during these hard times when they have lost their loved one.
“May her memories continue to inspire us.”

Dauda while attesting to Fintiri’s leadership strides and strength in giving selfless service, recalled his first journey to Dubar in 2013 to travel for a vacation.

“This profound statement is just one of many moments of mentorship I have received from him. His vision for a better Adamawa and Nigeria is unwavering. Despite being limited by resources, his dream of transforming our state and country is vast and inspiring.” He said

He said Fintiri is no doubt an achiever in Adamawa State with his fast development strategies deployed to rescue the state from underdevelopment.

He bragged that it was because of Fintiri’s leadership giants’ strides that he bagged a national award for the time on infrastructural development by the opposition party.

Gov Fintiri Condoles Senator Abbas Over Mother’s Death

Adamawa State Governor, the Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has condoled with Senator Iya Abbas, Senator representing Adamawa Central at the National Assembly on the passing of his beloved mother Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Nyibango.


The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou described the late matriarch as a pillar of strength and a shining example of motherhood, whose impact will be deeply felt by her family and the community.

Governor Fintiri commiserates with Senator Abbas and his family during this difficult time, praying that Allah grants them the fortitude to bear the loss.


He also prays for the repose of the deceased’s soul. “May she Rest In Peace”.

NULGE Mourns As Bauchi Commissioner Died In Auto Crash

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE has condole people and the Bauchi State Government over the demise of Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Jalam who died recently as a result of ghasty motor accident.

The Union through its President in the state, Comrade Muhammad Yunusa Garkuwan Dass said the Commissioner died when his service is most needed.

“We are worked closely with him, he was a man of honest, transparent and accountable, he will continue remembered” The NULGE Boss said.
