Gov Fintiri Hosts Pene Da Bwate Women Wing, Pledges Inclusive Govt

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State says his administration will continue to carry womenfolk along for inclusive government and the quest to building Adamawa to the next level.

The Governor disclosed this when he received in audience members of Pene Da Bwate sociocultural group on a thank you visit in the Government House, Yola Tuesday.

He explained that women will continue to get his administration’s attention, noting that the choice of Professor Kaletapwa Farauta as his running mate for 2023 elections was because of her capacity.

Fintiri expressed the conviction that Farauta will no doubt bring to bear, her vast wealth of experience towards championing the course of governance in the state.

The Governor therefore called on the group and women in general to give her maximum support towards realising the objective of making Adamawa great.

Earlier in her remarks, the President of Pene Da Bwate Women Wing, Mrs Magret Evans saluted the the Governor Fintiri led administration for appointing their sons and daughters.

On her part, Professor Helen Ray, one of the advisers of the group thanked Governor Fintiri for selecting their own, Professor Farauta as his running mate for next year’s elections.

The two leaders assured the Governor support and loyalty and prayed to God to guide and increase wisdom to Governor Umaru Fintiri as he pilots the affairs of the state.

The Bauchi State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Union has commended Governor Bala Mohammed’s recent approval of wages for civil servants in the state.

The acting Chairman Comrade Ibrahim Mai Kuɗi praised the gesture during a press briefing, noting that civil servants are thrilled with the support, especially with the Sallah celebrations approaching.

Comrade Mai Kuɗi emphasized that this gesture is a worthy celebration, considering the current economic challenges facing citizens nationwide.

He encouraged civil servants to use the Sallah gift judiciously, acknowledging the state government’s efforts to alleviate workers’ hardships.

The labour leader also appealed to the state government to extend similar gestures to pensioners, who have served the state diligently and deserve equal consideration.

The Executive Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council and ALGON Chairman in Taraba State, Animu Jauro Hassan on behalf of the council extended their heartfelt congratulations to Governor Agbu Kefas on the occasion of Democracy Day.

In a statement signed and released to newsmen in Jalingo on Wednesday, Hassan said the leadership of Governor Kefas has been a beacon of hope and progress for the people of the state.

“Your dedication to upholding these values through transparent governance, inclusive policies, and community-driven initiatives is commendable and inspiring,” it praised Kefas.

According to the statement, under Governor Kefas’s stewardship, Taraba State has witnessed remarkable achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development. 

Additionally, the statement noted that Kefas’s vision for a prosperous and harmonious state has galvanized efforts toward sustainable development and improved the quality of life for all citizens.

“On this day, we honor not only the spirit of democracy but also visionary leaders like you who work tirelessly to ensure that democracy thrives in our beloved state.

The Concerned Citizens of the North East (CCNE) has extended its warm congratulations to President Bola Tinubu on his first anniversary in office. 

This milestone marks a significant point in Nigeria’s democratic journey, and the CCNE commends the President for his leadership thus far.

In a statement issued by Lawrence Bilal Audu, Director of Corporate Communications, the CCNE urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) government to intensify efforts in addressing the pressing issues of bad governance in local government areas.

The organization emphasized the need for the government to prioritize the welfare and well-being of citizens at the grassroots level, ensuring that the dividends of democracy are equitably distributed.
