It has been a long yearning dream for the mostly rural populace of Toungo, Ganye, Jada and Mayo Belwa federal constituency to having a credible representation at the green chamber.
Critics opined that inadequate number of federal government projects in the areas might not be unconnected with lack of dynamism and patriotism of their sons representating the constituency at the national Assembly.
To many, the coming of Mohammed Inuwa Bassi into the race for the green chamber is a salvation. They believe, the astute man of the people will undoubtedly offer a total rescue to the undeveloped zone.
With his legislative background as a former state lawmaker, his vast impeccable pedigree is enough to satisfy the thirst of effective leadership yearning by the people of this constituency.
Inuwa Bassi is the man who honors the legislative Institution, master the rules, know where to get help, stay in tough with his constituents and a great problem solver per excellence.
When he was at the state Assembly, Bassi was an effective legislator that understands the needs of the persons that he represented, and communicated that through the legislative process.
Bassi was among the vibrant members of the state Assembly during his tenure as member. He presented bills, motions and counter motions that brought development to his people and Adamawa.
However, Bassi is the man of the people. Whatever time one visits his residence; morning, afternoon, or night, one finds a crowd of people waiting to be attended to, by the straightforward politician.
Bassi is always busy attending to the troops of people in his residence, grinning. He mingles with bourgeois and the lower folks. He never regards the less privileged as inferior.
Above all, the man of the people through his influence has secured employment slots to hundreds of youths at federal state and local governments as well as the private sector.
His magnanimity has extended to mentoring so many youths into politics some of whom today hold public and political offices. Besides, his prodding advise to youthful engagements has no bound.
On daily basis, the number of people trooping to Mr Bassi’s residence for so many reasons is incomparable to that of any politician in the state because his doors are always open.
He is an exampler of what William Shakespeare says in Twelfth Night: Be not afraid of greatness: Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.
With Mohammed Inuwa Bassi, it’s now left to the people of Toungo, Ganye Jada and Mayo Belwa to accomplish their vow first through their delegates in the forthcoming primary election of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has ushered in a new era of affordable transportation in Adamawa State with the introduction of Innoson’s Fresh Air buses.
These CNG coaches, capable of carrying 100 passengers each, have commenced operations to Mubi in the northern zone and Numan in the southern zone, receiving a warm reception from the public.
The decision to acquire these buses was a strategic response to the challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidies, a move aimed at alleviating the increased transportation costs burden on citizens.
Prior to this initiative, the regular transportation fare from the state capital to Mubi and Numan Local Government Areas stood at 4,000 and 1,000 Naira, respectively.
With the introduction of the Fresh Air Buses, passengers can now enjoy a subsidized fare, with rates reduced by 50%. This means that the journey to Mubi now costs just 2,000 Naira, while the fare to Numan is a mere 500 Naira.
This substantial reduction in transportation costs is set to have a positive impact on the lives of the people of Adamawa State, making travel more affordable and accessible.

The first 100 days has given birth to innovations that are sustainable and reliable with the vision clearly spelt out in it’s short and long term programs summed up as “8point Agenda
The Governor’s administrative style has evolved into a philosophy that fellow comrades and team members have adopted as the project of ADAMAWAFIRST before self.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri came with the self-realization that we could fix our problems, resolve issues, enhance systems, empower personalities, stabilize structures to be physically positioned not just for unity but in alignment and in pursuit of a developmental master plan for a progressive and unified future.
The above mentioned can only be achieved if we tolerate and accommodate the views and expectations of others.
We must ensure that his philosophy moves from one community to the other incorporating different interest but achieving same goals of a better Adamawa than we met.
The government as a corporate entity also works with its citizens feedback and interest which differs from community to community, that is why projects may not be uniform because needs differs across board.
