Though, some mistake him as being unapproachable, cumbersome, unfriendly and what have you. His demeanor made many suspicious of his intentions.
I came to understand his unique life style as a philosophy. Some of his living conditions, behavior and habits are chosen. The fact is not all aspects of his lifestyle are voluntary.
Bashiru Ahmad has demonstrated a zealous leadership in his capacity as Secretary to Adamawa Government. Generosity is one of his virtuous traits as he lives for others to be happy.
As many people, my liminal perception on his character had changed when I made eyeball to eyeball encounter with him. He is a true definition of a humble, just, astute and compassionate leader.
Albeit, his rare handling of humanity is exceptional. kindness and giving from what he has becomes part of his good character. He is an enemy to stinginess as it is a source of corruption.
Unequivocally, his hands are always outstretched, giving to those who are in need. He shares what he has with others, thinking about other people as he thinks of himself.
The Bashiru, always feels normal by helping others and solving their problems. He makes people happy and prevents them from doing wrong, which is often a direct result of poverty.
His gesture has transcended across ethnicity, tribe and religion. He carries all and sundry. He is indeed doing a great service to humanity, the Fintiri administration and Adamawa.
I remember this. Allah, Almighty, Says: “…And whatever you spend of good – it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Quran 2: 272).
It’s indeed a rare, getting a person like Bashiru Ahmad with wider vision and innate braveness to listen, stand and defend the people with his whole commitment.
I fetched a lot about him. He doesn’t comprise with the rules of conduct in the least. He’s always exhilarated and never precipitous to attending to people.
His words of prodding, grins and unruffled nature have uplifted my puny intelligence. The scholar in disguise Bashiru Ahmad is worth to be emulated.
Today, this God sent individual has equipped hundreds of people to having a business, shelter, sound education, improved health, and settlement of debts among other means of livelihood.
Knowing these privileged information, it’s become a must on me to salute who deserves the salute. Although, he gives without expecting you to praise sing him in public.
This is the kind of public servant, people deserve. A leader who supports and cares for his people. The one who loves the humanity and sacrifices for them.
The man is indeed one of our ardent leaders in Adamawa. He is a reflecter of what William Shakespeare says: “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.”
