The month of Ramadan is a period where Muslim across the world observe fasting for 29 to 30 days and Nigeria is not an exception.
Many Muslims percive the month as a period of bounty and blessing where wealthy individual distribute foodstuff and huge amount of money to the needy not only Muslims but also cristians benefit from the gesture, unfortunately for almost a decade some foodstuff vendors use the period to hike the prices of their commodities must especially fruit sellers, for instance a watermelon of 200 naira now is about 500 naira, likewise the detes which is so significance to the faithful is also skyrocketed to 2000 naira against it’s previous Price of 800 naira .
Further more ,the every vital fruits which are use in the month has also witnessed a drastic changes in price.
Other items skyrocketed during the holy mouth of Ramadan include rice of 25kg is now 12000 naira while 50 kg is 36000 naira, the palm oil of 4 liters is now ranging from 7000 naira to 8000 naira. This is the prices of almost every commodities in our markets.
It was reported in Hadith according to the prophet Muhammad S. A. W said, “O people the month of Allah (Ramadan)has come with mercies, blessing and forgiveness. Allah has decreed the month to be the best of All months”.
In this regard, there is a need for our foodstuff vendors to fear Allah and have mercy on the people by decreasing the prices of their commodities and even distribute some portion to have Allah blessings of Allah in the day of judgments.
In the other hand, the government at all levels should sanction every marketer that deliberately like the prices of commodity in this blessful mouth of Ramadan.

These CNG coaches, capable of carrying 100 passengers each, have commenced operations to Mubi in the northern zone and Numan in the southern zone, receiving a warm reception from the public.
