It’s Regrettable Adamawa APC Grapples With Chubado That Lacks Electoral Value –Zidapo

The People’s Democratic Party Chairman in Madagali local government of Adamawa state, Ibrahim Zidapo, has described the former Chief of staff to Bala Ngillari, a former governor of Adamawa state as “big masquerades with very little or no electoral value”.

Describing the former Chief of staff, Chubado Babi as a paper-weight politician with no electoral value.

Ibrahim Zidapo alleged that contrary to APC’s belief, Chubado has no affinity to Governor Fintiri. He is from Yobe state, not even an Adamawa indigene, nor is he from the same political party ward as the governor.

While fielding questions from journalists, the party chairman, Mr Zidapo, said: “Those association of failed governorship aspirants and party officials of the APC came to Madagali to celebrate a man that cannot win a ward councillor in this local government.

Chubado does not influence the grassroots. Even the so-called organising secretary of the APC, Mustapha Atiku, who has never dreamed of winning a councillor anywhere in Adamawa, would still have to come to the grassroots to learn”.

The position of Chief of staff given to Chubado by the former governor is not elective. Bala picked him not based on his capability to win elections. If you check the pedigree of most of the politicians that reunite with their friends at the other side, you will understand what I am saying they cannot win elections.”

“This indeed is a life-saving decision for the party that had been in the vice grip of power drunk and self-conceited individuals whose only loyalists are garrulous and selfish few whose only anger with the governor is that he did not make himself a yes-man or stooge through whom the public vault is thrown open.”

Zidapo said for many months, Chubado and ‘his co-travellers’ launched a campaign of calumny against the governor to the chagrin of the Adamawa public who wondered what could warrant these party chieftains to attack their governor despite his glaring record of achievements in less than three years.

He noted it was on record that the aggrieved members have a weekly programme to denigrate the governor, his administration, and the House of Assembly, adding that they never missed an opportunity to criticise the governor’s office.

He explained that contrary to their claims, Chubado is from Yobe state and not related to Fintiri in any way, we are happy the APC has inherited this liability from us”. Zidapo said

When contacted through telephone, the embattled party Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa confirmed that he was aware of the court case but did not receive any surmon.

“Frankly speaking I don’t know anything but I heard that I was taken to court but nobody bring a surmon to me, nobody call me and I did not go to the court, that is the only thing I know,” Bawa added.

When asked whether he will still go to the office on Monday, Abubakar Bawa said “I am a law-abiding citizen, so, since the court has given an order I will comply.”
