Adamawa north sets to give Namdas block votes – Babajo Iya

Former speaker of Adamawa State House of assembly, Hassan Turaki has disclosed that his resolve to back the aspiration of Hon Abdulrazak Namdas was well placed adding that rigorous permutations and analyses conducted on APC aspirants have always projected Namdas above other aspirants.

The Namdas campaign train was in Toungo/Ganye/Jada and Mayo Belwa local governments of Adamawa State on Friday as part of its ongoing campaign to secure APC ticket ahead of the gubernatorial primaries of the party.

The campaign train was recieved by enthusiastic and mamooth crowd of supporters in all the places visited.

The former speaker noted that despite coming from Adamawa central senatorial zone, he is fully in support of Namdas due to his overwhelming leadership qualities.

Turaki who said they are in Jada local government to tell the people that Namdas is the best gubernatorial hopeful, urged them to embrace one of their own as he is simply the best.

“We are here not to campaign for Namdas but to simply tell you that other zones are fully in support of one of your own because he is the most popular aspirant we have.

“We have conducted rigorous analyses and permutations on all those aspiring to lead the state and we found that Namdas is the most preferred candidate that will wrest power from PDP and we have no alternative other than to support him,” he said.

Also speaking, a former coordinator of Local Apprenticeship Skills (LAS) under governor Murtala Nyako, Sani Jada said Nyako has fully endorsed Namdas gubernatorial aspiration.

“When Namdas approached me to support his aspiration, I told him that I have to consult with former governor Murtala Nyako first. He told me that we are going to meet Nyako together because Nyako is his father. When we told Nyako about our mission he gave his blessings and support to us,” he said.

Re-echoing the position of Jada, the former Attorney General of Adamawa State and commissioner of Justice under Nyako, Ibrahim Tahir, Halima Hayatu also a commissioner under Nyako, a former Adviser under Nyako, Ibrahim constitution and Abdulrahman Shuaibu all alluded to the fact that Nyako, their political benefactor, has blessed Namdas gubernatorial aspiration.

Also expressing the support of Adamawa southern senatorial zone to Namdas, a businessman and chieftain of the party in the area, Alhaji Babajo Iya, urged Namdas to go to sleep as far as his zone is concerned as he promised to deliver block votes to him.

Iya who is a childhood friend of former governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who is also aspiring to lead the state for the second time, said, the overwhelming leadership qualities of Namdas made the people of the zone to ditch their own and embrace him.

“Namdas served as a federal lawmaker and he ensued that the federal road from Mayo Belwa to Toungo has been reconstructed while all the federal roads leading to Adamawa south are in state of disrepair.

“For this singular action, we felt that we must support Namdas as governor so that our zone could have a sense of belonging. The southern zone consisting of five local governments will give Namdas block votes. More than 80 of party executives from the zone are right here in Jada as a mark of what we intend to do,” he said.

Various party executives in the area who spoke glowingly about Namdas, expressed their support for his ambition for doing so much to the area adding that there is no ward that has not benefitted from Namdas representation in the federal constituency consisting of four local governments.

Also speaking, Namdas who thanked the people for the support they have accorded to him, said, he will replicate what he did in the area many times if he emerged as governor.

“I cannot thank you enough for electing me twice as your federal lawmaker. I urge you to trust me with the governorship mandate and I will multiply what I did in the past. This is because the office of the governor carries a lot of weight and powers in executing capital and impactful projects. Trust me with your mandates and I will do wonders,” he said.

Work On Gyawana-Opalo-Hoki Electricity Project Will Begin Soon – Gov Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has announced that work on Gyawana-Opalo-Hoki electricity project in Lamurde Local government area will commence soon.

The Governor who revealed this when he led the campaign train of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to canvassing for votes in Gyawana, Lamurde Local Government Area ahead of the forthcoming elections said Government will begin connection of the remaining communities without light to the national grid.

He told the people of Gyawana, Opalo Ngbakowo and Dubwangun wards that his administration has constructed 4km in Lamurde town, 11km of rural road and built 60-bed capacity hospital among others in the local government area.

Governor Umaru Fintiri while noting how his administration turned around the education sector, said he has given local government council chairmen approval to employ more qualified teachers into primary schools to enhance teaching and learning in the state.

On the tussle between host community/workers and management of Dangote Sugar Refinary Numan, Governor Fintiri told the electorates how he asked Alhaji Aliko Dangote to pay compensation among other things to the victims.

He called on the people to support his re-election bid and vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections from top to bottom for better Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.

After the Gyawana rally, Governor Umaru Fintiri alongside top government officials has commissioned Lecture Hall at College of Agriculture Ganye Satelitte Campus Gyawana in Lamurde Local government area.

Meanwhile, Governor Umaru Fintiri in Suwa, Lamurde LGA for the campaign has reassured his commitment to maintain the diversity of Adamawa people and provide equity and fairness to all tribes in the state for peace and tranquility.

Governor Fintiri told the people of Suwa, Sabon Layi and Waduku Wards that the government would continue to protect their lives and property to the best of its ability urging them to vote for PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.

According to the Governor, It is only quality and affordable education that will bridge the gap between the rich and the poor and therefore reiterates his continued commitment to provide free education in the state.

He promised to drill borehole in Suwa and directed the State Ministry of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development to connect the area and Waduku to the national grid with immediate effect.

Governor Fintiri has during the rally sympathized with the people over the death of PDP Youth Leader in Suwa Ward, Hon. Mairiga Yohannah who was being laid to rest today (Saturday) in Lamurde and prayed to God to grant him eternal rest.

An elder statesman in Suwa, Mr Gabriel Yakubu commended Governor Fintiri for his free education Programme among other giant strides of his administration and assured him and other PDP candidates massive votes of the community.

While on a stop over in Timnu in the Local Government Area, Governor Umaru Fintiri has promised to procure brand new additional transformer for the community for improved electricity as requested by leaders of the community.

The Governor asked the electorates to continue to maintain peace among them as according to him government on its part will not relent until the citizens sleep with their two eyes close across the state.

The State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu while presenting flag to Hon. Pawikai Bauna as the party’s Candidate for State Assembly Member Lamurde Constituency in Gyawana urged the people to maintain their support for the party.

Just In: Adamawa Govt Set To Construct Modire Road In Yola

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State says the government will soon flag off construction of Modire Road in Yola South LGA to ease the hardships of motorists and the community.

The Governor announced this when he led the campaign train of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to Yolde Pate in Yola South LGA to canvass for votes ahead of the forthcoming elections.

He said survey of the road will soon be conducted for commencement of the project by the contracting firm, Triacta Nigeria Limited.

The Governor equally reminded the people how his administration built Nyibango – Yolde Pate road, saying that of Lakare – Bole project is still ongoing and will be completed in the next 3 months.

“We have so far delivered on our 11- point agenda and in the second tenure of my administration, we will pursue on 8-point agenda for continued reformation of all sectors in the state,” said the Governor.

The Executive Chairman, Yola South LGA Council, Engineer Mohammed Hamidu commended Governor Fintiri for executing People’s oriented projects in the area and assured him massive votes of the residents.

In their separate remarks, Mohammed Yahaya Marafa and Madam Salome Nelson thanked Governor Fintiri for constructing Lakare – Bole road among other giant strides such as payment of Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations.

Meanwhile, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri had earlier assured the people of Yadim and Ukituki Wards of Fufore LGA of continuity towards Improving security, and education among other sectors if re-elected.

The Governor who was in Yadim on the political campaign announced the readiness of the Government to asphalt the rural road leading to the area constructed by his administration adding that more projects will be deployed to the community.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu while receiving decampees into the party, assured them fair treatment while urging them to mobilize votes for the party in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking at the event, PDP Candidate for Verre Constituency, Mr Japhet Hammajabu said Yadim and Ukituki wards supported the Governor in 2019, and will indeed double their votes for him and other candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.

The Sarki Tsabta Adamawa, Alhaji Hamman Adama Ahijo who recalled how bad the road leading to Yadim was before the coming of the present administration, thanked Governor Fintiri for constructing it and assured him bloc votes of the community and environs.

—We’ll Begin Payment of Scholarships Next Week With 50% Increment

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Friday said arrangements have been concluded by the government to begin payment of scholarship allowances to students of institutions of higher learning next week with increment of fifty percent.

Similarly, Governor Fintiri has announced that the State Government has already included Jimeta-Mayo Ine road project in this year’s budget and arrangements are in the pipeline for commencement of work.

The Governor made this known during a campaign rally in Mayo Ine, Fufore LGA as part of his tour to seek for re-election and canvass votes for other candidates of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming general polls.

Governor Fintiri said his administration has taken Infrastructure delivery with utmost priority and it will continue in that trajectory, assuring the people continuity of good governance on 8-point agenda if re-elected.

“If you give us another mandate we will work on eight point agenda to build on the progress made so far. Government will continue with free education, payment of WAEC and NECO and Scholarship allowances,” said Fintiri.

“Before we come on board, you don’t sleep with your two eyes close because insecurity was threatening your peace. Today we achieved absolute security in this area and the state as a whole. The State is now enjoying prevailing peace.

“Also, before, it was our parents that used to buy chalks in our schools. You laboured hard to pay your children school fees. Most of our schools were in a state of shamble. But we have now changed the narratives,” says Governor Fintiri.

He called on the Stakeholders in the area to bury their differences and unite for the common purpose of mobilize massive votes for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections for the good of the state and the country.

The State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Tahir Shehu after receiving hundreds of decampees into the party noted with appreciation how electorates of Mayo Ine turned out en masse to receive them describing the area a PDP stronghold.

In his remarks, a stakeholder in the area, Alhaji Halilu Lamu revealed that Mayo Ine district created in 1903 had never had it so good than now as Governor Fintiri has renovated their schools and relieved parents the burden of paying their children school fees.

Salihu Aliyu Kabillo eulogized Governor Fintiri for not only appointing their sons and daughters into key positions of government but ensured retirees get their entitlements as an when due while people across the state get dividends of democracy.
