Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state Friday officially flagged off the construction of two point five Kilometer Njobbore Road in Girei Local Government area.
The project takes a spar from Yola-Mubi highway after the Jimeta bridge into Viniklang, passing Anguwan Mangoro and progressively to the end of Njobbore ward.
Speaking at the event, Governor Umaru Fintiri said the project falls within his promises to the people and recalled how the collective trauma residents of the area had to go through.
The Governor said the present administration is also set to head to Guyuk, Demsa, Lamurde and
Bekaji community in Jimeta for construction of another projects.
He said his administration has placed infrastructure at the centre of its eleven point agenda and has committed huge resources to complete the ones abandoned by previous administrations.
“We have constructed urban roads across many Local Governments in the state. The campaign is ongoing until every Local Government gets its fair share. The train is moving with the required vigour, speed and quality.
“If our antagonists know of any other way apart from the one we know which is easing the burden of life on our people and making them happy at all times, they are at liberty to wait for their time, if such time will ever come,” he said.
Governor Fintiri added that within limited resources, government has distributed projects across the State taking cognizance of the strategic needs and the benefits they can confer on the State.
According to the Governor, the provision of infrastructure, will open Adamawa to investment which will lead to the economic prosperity of its people and make easy access to its rural areas.
He further said his administration is sensitive to the plight of people and remained resolute in its pragmatic and effective approach to developmental issues.
In his remarks, the Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar noted that the project is a befitting gifts to the inhabitants of Viniklang and Damare communities.
The Managing Director of Messrs Triacta Nigeria Limited represented by Engineer Ghassan Ghanem assured that the project will be completed within the timeframe with quality.
In their goodwill messages, the member representing Girei in the state Assembly, Mohammed Mutawalle, and district Head of Girei Doctor Ahmed Mustafa lauded Governor Fintiri for the project.
