Adamawa: SSG, Commissioner, Lawmaker Must Be Excused Rather Accused In Their Constituency

A Prophet, it is said, has honour except in his hometown.

People don’t value what they have until they lost it.

One wonders why some people, residents in Jimeta, Yola North local government area, central senatorial district, Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria have taken to media onslaughts against the Secretary to the State Government, Engr Bashir Ahmed, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji and the state assembly member, representing Yola North, Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki even while trying to make the representational difference as acknowledged by commendations coming from different quarters.

The media onslaughts, some electorates pointed out, are but products of selfish interest by the lazy minded who have taken a vocation, like the worthless destitutes with the destination in begging.

“One is worthless, however the glaring contributions, provided that the unpatriotic, selfish and uncreative critics aren’t direct financial beneficiaries.

“It is only one with a defective memory that can submit to deception; Yola North local government secretariat hitherto under lock and key has been in operation devoid of crisis resulting from clash of interests.

“Neither the SSG nor the Hon Commissioner nor the state assembly lawmaker has any sadistic-ego-selfish interest to colonise the local government’s management and administration and was experienced prior to 2019

“More than 70% of the capital projects and capacity developments being executed by the present administration are in Yola North.

“The trio accused are incidentally introverts by nature, working the talk than exaggerating the work,” the electorates would point out.

Yunusa Abubakar, the social commentator would articulate that the most accused is the most misunderstood, the disliked based on defined sentiments by those whose schematic script is mischievously by mis… and disinformation acted upon by the rather unpatriotic residents of Jimeta, the seeming sponsored critics.

“It’s apparent that some groups hate to hear, to have and to see Bashir Ahmed retianed as SSG, in part, owing to his principles, in part, owing to his nature, misunderstood to be more of intolerant and largely, as is conceived, owing to his faith based essence.

“Most critics, other than being selfish, are entirely uncritically prisoners of other people’s thoughts, conscience and struggles, though untypical of ironism as a philosophy.

“The ironists have continuing doubts over their final vocabulary and are dependent upon the final final vocabulary of those they considered as being superior. This is however contrary to the uncreative critics in Jimeta who have no vocabulary of their own at all, to have subjected them to continuing doubts,” Abubakar would philosophise.

I have had time without number encounters, kind of experiences with the trio who are more accused than excused, to be accurately put. The responses, I respect, have been mutual rather than disrespectful.

Commissioner Yayaji is one among the honoured people who responds to a one dial call with courtesy, one of the highly respected Fellow members of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management, IBDFM, in the state, for which I am a Council member.

SSG Bashir is one who would want to clear the air defeating any judgemental tendency. When he was accused like Napoleon in George Orwell’s ANIMAL FARM of taming dogs of war against opposition politicians, he was just landing from trip abroad. How would he have scheme such a riotous act against a politician he knew not about? He responded to my text message.

Hon. member Hamidu has been the Lekki he is prior to 2019, the improvement about him lies in the ability to accommodate constructive criticisms as contributions to development.

Beside, the SSG and the Commissioner are appointed to represent the entire state as a constituency than tribe, faith or local government of origin. They are by implication for everybody and for nobody. For this they ought to be excused.

The social commentator lamented that the electorates in Yola North, more than any other local government in the state, are more accusative than advisory and that even at that, the accusations are tied to sadism and selfish interest.

“Even if for nothing, their régime has addressed the challenging Shilla insecurity inherited. The youth and women are empowered in one way or the other as a remedy to Shilla-a-za-tion of the state,” the Social commentator would observe.

Forum Of Islamic Preachers Commends Gov Kefas For All-Inclusive Leadership

The Taraba State Forum of Islamic Preachers has applauded Governor Agbu Kefas for his all-inclusive leadership style.

The State Chairman of the Forum, Mallam Usaini Isma’il made the commendation during a press briefing in Jalingo.

He mentioned equal representation as the watchword of the governor, noting that the just concluded Local Government Council’s polls proved the inciting Islamic Preachers both within and outside the state wrong, as Muslims were carried along.

“The masses both Muslim, Christians, and idol worshipers came out during last Saturday’s LG election and unanimously voted for PDP in the whole sixteen (16) LGAs and it was done fifty-fifty, which shows that Governor Agbu Kefas is not a religious and tribal bigot.

“The good people of Taraba State have trust and belief in the PDP, that was why they voted for candidates of the party for all the sixteen local government council’s chairmen and councilors, and they are also satisfied with the leadership style of Dr. Agbu Kefas because he gave the Muslim equal opportunity with the Christians in the election.

“Dr. Agbu Kefas did not come to steal the resources of Taraba State nor not to divide the people, instead, he came to transform the state as everyone can see from the developmental projects he embarked on. Go to the Taraba State College of Nursing and see the kind of projects that are going on, and also go to the State Specialists Hospital and see how it was renovated.

“Also the same thing you will see if you go to the Kefas Palliative Market where food items would be sold at a subsidized rate for Tarabans, the Government House Juma’at Mosque was also renovated, courtesy of Governor Kefas,” Isma’il stated.

Malam Usaini Isma’il reiterated that the just concluded LG election proved to incite Islamic Preachers within and outside the state wrong, as Muslim Ummah were carried along, adding that the governor has again proved that his administration is carrying everyone along irrespective of religion or tribal inclination.

He expressed dismay over the way some Islamic Preachers always only talk about the negative and neglect the good deeds of Governor Kefas’s administration which he described as unfair.

“We know how Governor Kefas is assisting Islam by giving huge amounts of money to those Islamic Preachers but you will never for one hear them appreciating him and telling their followers the good gestures he is doing for the Muslim Ummah in the state.

The Chairman who quoted a verse in the Holy Qur’an said” Anybody who doesn’t appreciate someone for a good gesture, will never appreciate Allah (SWA) and called on those intending to jeopardize the developmental plans of the present administration to have a rethink and support the governor to succeed.

He further pointed out that both Muslims and Christians alike benefited from the N30,000 minimum and the free education in the state.

Malam Usaini Isma’il, however, appealed to their followers and the people of the state at large to sustain prayers and fasting for Governor Kefas and others in positions of authority to enable them to execute the people’s orientated programs and policies of their administrations.

Commenting on the awaiting Appeal Court judgment filed by the aggrieved NNPP Gubernatorial candidate, Prof. Muhammed Sani Yahaya, Malam Isma’il urged all politicians and the relevant stakeholders at the National level to disregard those Islamic scholars that are going around lobbying to interfere in the case and collect the people’s mandate of leadership given to Dr. Agbu Kefas of PDP, saying that it is uncalled for.

“Everybody knows that the people of Taraba State have massively came out during the governorship election and voted for Dr. Agbu Kefas, therefore, we are optimistic that the court will vindicate our mandate that we gave Dr . Kefas as the Tribunal did.

“As leaders of the Muslim Ummah in the state, we know those Islamic scholars that are going around meeting people at the National level and telling them lies about the governor just for their pockets. We know and they also know the monies that Governor Kefas is giving them, even recently he gave them money besides the previous ones including during the Maulud period but they have never come out and told the world what the Man is doing for the Muslim Ummah,” Isma’il revealed.

He equally urged the judiciary to carry out its mandate according to the laid down rules.
