New executives of the Northeast Business Communities in support of Atiku for president in 2023 Adamawa state chapter has been inaugurated.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony held at Fombina Suites conference hall Jimeta, the national chairman of the Association, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin, charged the new executives to be committed while discharging their duties.
Jibrin called on Nigerians to unite and do the needful irrespective of their religious, ethnic and political differences.
He said the business communities endorsed Alhaji Atiku Abubakar because of his wealth of experience and the role he played in improving the economy of the country.
In his remarks, the national coordinator of the association, Alhaji Ali Bappayo, Said the aim of the Association is to have contact and mobilize people in support of former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar comes 2023 in the 6 states of the Northeast
Bappayo added that the association does not operate under any political party but work with members of all political parties that have the interest of creating awareness to endorse the candidature of the former vice president.
He said the association has structures within all the six states of the Northeast that comprise of Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States.
Speaking on behalf of Adamawa government, the Commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Yayaji Mijinyewa, commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his commitment to providing democracy dividends to people of Adamawa state.
The commissioner said the giant strides achieved by the Governor in terms of providing free education, and improving security and healthcare, as well as construction of roads and prompt payment of salaries among others remained indelible.
He commended the association for their foresight in organising the program and pledged to support them.
On his part, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Barrister Abubakar Tahir Shehu Represented by the former party chairman Alhaji Adamu Wakili commended the PDP stakeholders at the national level for resolving their differences in good time.
Also, Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, the Adamawa state chairman of the Northeast business communities in support of Atiku for president 2023, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Sallau, pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them and called for unity and cooperation among the executives.
There were goodwill messages from Adamawa state president of Igbo Community, Chief Fidelis Limeh among others.
