The remains of Mbula Monarch, Murum Joram Joel Fwa has been laid to rest on Saturday amidst tears, eulogies from sympathizers who thronged the ancient town of Mbula to bid the Paramount Ruler, farewell.
Late Murum Joram Joel Fwa who passed on last Sunday at the age of 81 after a protracted illness was installed the tenth Murum Mbula in nineteen ninety five and elevated to first class monarch in April twenty sixteen.
At the funeral service that held in Mbula, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described the passing of the royal father as a great loss not only to the people of the chiefdom but Adamawa and Nigeria as a whole.
The Governor said the late Murum Mbula was a leader of high repute who dedicated his life to the service of humanity and God and hopes that his successor will build on that legacy.
Governor Umaru Fintiri extends his condolences to Mbula kingdom and the royal family on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa State and prayed to God to grant the soul of the monarch eternal rest.
He told the gathering that his administration will not interfere in the selection of the next Murum Mbula but will ensure Justice and fairness throughout the process in accordance with the tradition of the chiefdom.
He called on the King makers to exhibit high sense of decorum and adhere to the norms and customs of the chiefdom during the choice of the next king for peace and development of the area.
The officiating Minister, who is the Arch Bishop of Lutheran Church of Christ In Nigeria LCCN and President Lutheran World Federation, Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus described the late monarch as a peace loving leader.
Bishop Panti Filibus who went down memory lane recalled how the late Murum Mbula used to settle disputes among people, saying he has entrenched peaceful coexistence in his jurisdiction and indeed Adamawa in general.
The funeral service was attended by Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth, Chief of Staff Government House, Yola Professor Maxwell Gidado, and senior government officials, Emirs and Chiefs among other dignitaries within and outside Adamawa.
