160 Women, Girls Empowered In Various Skills In Adamawa, Taraba

160 participants (women and girls) including Persons Living with Disability (PLWD) across the four (4) targeted LGAs – Mubi North, Mubi South, Jalingo and Gassol were empowered in Adamawa and Taraba states.

The women were trained by Hopeful Women Initiative (HWI) with its collaborators on packaging, branding and marketing skills of locally produced goods at the 3-day workshop held from 19th to 21st, March 2024 at Modibbo Adama University, Yola.

According to a statement by HWI, the workshop was to “empower young women entrepreneurs with necessary skills and knowledge to effectively package, brand and market their locally produced goods, making them competitive in their respective markets.


“To equip young women with practical skills in creating strong and distinctive brand identities that differentiate their products from competitors and appeal consumers.
To provide guidance on pricing strategies, understanding the cost structure of the products and effective negotiation techniques to maximise profitability and sustainability in their businesses.


“To foster a supportive network among young women entrepreneurs, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and peer-to-peer learning in the packaging, branding and marketing of locally produced goods. “
